These CNC sewing machines are the first machines to give home users the ability to create products equal to store bought articles. The hardware is fully developed now the software needs to mature a bit.
Laser Cutter
Nice overview of the laser cutting process. Great video, but he couldn’t laser up a star to top off the tree rather than a wing nut?
3D Printer
One of the coolest things about 3D printers is designing pieces that have built in hinges, rotary components, or other moving parts. Not super useful, but it is cool to pull a functional pieces out of a mass of powder.
3D Scanning
A UK firm plays with a 3D scanner and scans faces, bread, and balls of twine.
